Developer Cult of the North announced that the Alpha Playtest for We Will Be Gods is now officially open. However, for now it's limited to players who are in Europe and North America.
This groundbreaking free-to-play strategy war game is currently in the Alpha stage of development. The early play test hopes to invite thousands of players to shape a living and breathing world through epic wars. Players get to form kingdoms, forge alliances, betray rivals, and dominate.
The servers for the Alpha test are available from May 17 to May 31. Note that Servers reset weekly during Alpha. In a post, the studio reminded everyone that since this is an early Alpha build, some features may be missing. Still, testers can look forward to trying out the different features like PvE, PvP, gathering, and building, to name a few.
We Will Be Gods invites players to the war-ravaged mystical realm known as Hamarvast. It's one that's balancing on the edge of ruin. In a mystical world where kingdoms clash and magic reshapes reality, it is the most cunning and powerful that have a chance to survive.
A Combination of Elements
We Will Be Gods features a hybrid of gameplay elements from RTS, MMO, and even MODA. It's able to combine 4x empire-building, real-time tactical combat, and massive multiplayer diplomacy. This is placed in a free-to-play model that offers endless progression and customization options. The game features a top-down view with intense MOBA-style combat and instant PvP and PvE action when logging in.
